Jason B. Kiker 

Managing Principal

Jason has worked as a consultant of forest resources for over eleven years.  He has extensive experience developing financial analysis of land and timber investments, forest economics, development and implementation of forest management plans, statistical analysis of forest inventories, data compilation, database management, as well as growth and yield modeling.  Jason specializes in the development of Geographic Information System (GIS) databases and the use of Global Positioning Systems in forest resource management.  He has developed GIS databases for private and corporate clients in excess of 180,000 acres.  Field experience includes the preparation of timber sale areas, harvest scheduling, silvicultural and site preparation burning skills, supervision of logging operations and road construction contractors, and the development and monitoring of thinning regimes.

Jason is a Registered Forester in North Carolina (#1481) and South Carolina (#1715).  He is also a Certified Prescribed Burner in NC (NCDRF-495) and a Certified Prescribe Fire Manager in SC (CPFM #1127).  He is a member of the Society of American Foresters, the Association of Consulting Foresters, North Carolina Forestry Association, and the Florida Forestry Association.

Paul J. Kiker, III

Consulting Forester

Paul has been a consultant of forest resources for thirty-seven (37) years and has extensive experience developing timber appraisals, timber sales, forest inventories and management plans, valuation of forest investments, and real estate transactions.  He is a native of Wadesboro, NC, located in the south central region of piedmont North Carolina.  Paul is a Registered Forester in North Carolina (#190), South Carolina (#822), and Georgia (2709) as well as a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina (#41365 personal, #6284 corporate).

He is a member of the Society of American Foresters, the Association of Consulting Foresters, the North Carolina Forestry Association, and the Forest Landowners Association.  He is also an active member of the Wadesboro Rotary Club, and is on the Board of Directors of Uwharrie Capital Corporation.

Teresa T. Ray

Administrative Assistant

Duties administered by the Administrative Assistant include the following:

  • Preparation of all sale notices for perspective buyers (timber sales, hunting leases, pine straw, etc.)
  • Receive all bids and report the results to the corresponding landowner
  • Coordinate the dispersal of contracts between landowners and buyers and contractors
  • Review weekly settlement checks to ensure that correct prices are paid and all tickets are accounted for on unit sales
  • Handle the dispersal of weekly checks to landowners for all unit sales
  • Pay invoices from contractors and/or vendors for services that have been completed
  • Adjust database to reflect changes in timber volumes created from timber sales (both clearcuts and thinnings)
  • Produce income and expense reports for landowners
