History

About KRM

Kiker Resource Management, LLC (KRM) began as Kiker Forestry & Realty, Inc., established in June 1978 by Paul J. Kiker, III.  In 2007 Kiker Forestry & Realty, Inc. was purchased by Jason Kiker and became Kiker Resource Management, LLC. 
The company grew from a one-man operation in 1978 to five full-time and four part-time employees in 2003.  The full-time employees include three graduate foresters, wildlife management specialist, and one administrative assistant. The part-time employees include two graduate foresters, one forestry technician, and one wildlife management technician.

Foresters of KRM are registered in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Our staff is also members of the Association of Consulting Foresters, the Society of American Foresters, the Forest Landowners Association, and the North Carolina Forestry Association. Members of our staff also maintain a valid pesticide license and NC Forest Service Burn Boss Certification.

Our original client base began in south central North Carolina and north central South Carolina. Over the last 26 years, this client base has grown to throughout the southeastern United States including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. KRM currently manages the forest resources for over 300 clients totaling approximately 220,000 acres. The client base includes both private and corporate clients ranging in size from less than 50 acres to 50,000+ acres of ownership. Our clients have objectives varying from maximization of timber assets, value growth and rate of return, to recreation and wildlife habitat management.

KRM annually develops and transacts over 75 timber sales of various types and sizes. Our firm has extensive knowledge of local and regional timber markets, and actively assists timberland investors by providing timber inventory and valuation assistance of potential timber sales and/or land purchases.
